Museums are partners, not rivals
The museum is where art is visited. STASIUM is how art visits. An institution can carry a work from its collection out of the building: over its own forecourt, into a distant neighbourhood, into another country entirely, while the original never leaves the wall.
Every encounter on the street points back through the passport to the institution that keeps the work. We are the widest door into the culture that museums hold, and the door opens toward them.
A hypothesis we can finally test
Everything science knows about art and people was learned from those who already reached the museum. Nobody has ever measured what happens when art reaches everyone else, because until now there was no way to bring it to them.
STASIUM Research is that experiment. Every room the gallery opens records how a city meets art on its own streets, and the findings will be published openly, as an institute should.
Every work carries a passport
When a work enters the archive it receives one permanent identity: who made it, when, where it has been shown, who curated it, and what it permits. The passport follows the work for life, across every room the gallery opens.
Digital art is easy to copy and easy to strip of its history. A passport makes the history part of the work.

Where a work has stood becomes part of what it is
Today you can prove who owns a digital work. STASIUM also records where it existed: which streets, which cities, which seasons. We call this spatial provenance, and the travelling gallery writes it as it moves.

Built on Solana
The trust layer under every work
Every passport is certified on Solana — not because it is fashionable, but because a cultural archive needs entries that no one, including us, can quietly rewrite. It is the foundation the whole institute is built on: proof of authorship, the artist’s own terms, and payment that flows straight to them.

Fingerprint
The work’s file and its metadata are hashed into a unique digital fingerprint. The image itself never leaves our storage; only the fingerprint travels.

Record
The fingerprint, the author, the timestamp and the licence terms are written to the chain as one permanent entry. A record costs a fraction of a cent, so certification is free for artists.

Verify
Anyone, forever, can check when a work entered the archive and what terms applied at that moment. Useful in a dispute, decisive in a licensing deal.

Pay
Licences are paid in USDC straight into a contract that splits the money automatically: the overwhelming share to the artist, a small share to the institute. Funds never sit on our accounts.
No artist needs a wallet to begin: the institute holds the record until they claim it. We are honest about the limits too: a chain cannot stop someone from copying an image. What it does is make authorship, history and terms provable, and licensed use effortless. The chain is infrastructure behind the institute, never the product.
The artist sets the terms
Each passport carries the artist’s own rules, written into the same Solana record: what the work allows, what it costs to license, and where the money goes. Payouts split automatically, with the overwhelming share going to the artist.
