Why This Document Exists

W/\NG is a curated platform. We make active editorial decisions about what appears on our gallery — and what doesn't. This document explains our standards openly, so artists, galleries, and viewers know what to expect.

We believe:

Core Principles

1. Public Space, Public Standards

Our artworks appear in real-world urban environments where people of all ages, backgrounds, and contexts encounter them. This requires standards higher than a private gallery.

2. Cultural Awareness

Different cities have different sensibilities. What's acceptable in Berlin may not be in Bangkok. We curate with cultural context in mind.

3. Artistic Merit Over Provocation

Provocation alone isn't art. We favor work that engages, questions, and elevates over work designed primarily to shock.

4. Safety First

No artwork should put viewers, communities, or the platform at risk.

What We Don't Show

A. Content That Sexualizes Minors

Zero tolerance. No exceptions. No artistic claims override this.

B. Graphic Violence and Gore

Distinction: Symbolic, abstract, or historically contextualized depictions of conflict may be acceptable if they meet curatorial review.

C. Hate Speech and Discrimination

Distinction: Critical examination of these themes by artists from affected communities, with curatorial review, may be permitted.

D. Harassment and Targeting

E. Promotion of Dangerous Activities

Distinction: Awareness, recovery, or critical commentary work is welcome with appropriate context.

F. Sexual Content in Public Space

The platform does not host:

Distinction: Tasteful nude figurative art may be acceptable for indoor curated spaces, never for street-level public placement without explicit zoning.

G. Misinformation

Distinction: Speculative, fictional, or clearly satirical work is welcome.

H. Copyright and IP Violations

I. Religious Disrespect

Distinction: Critical engagement with religion as a topic — including by adherents — is welcome with curatorial care.

J. Commercial Advertising in Disguise

Distinction: Branded content has its own dedicated layer (Media Layer) when activated. Mixing commercial and curatorial content without disclosure is not permitted.

Pre-Publication Review

Every artwork goes through:

  1. Automated screening (AI moderation for obvious violations)
  2. Human curator review (artistic merit, contextual fit)
  3. Cultural consultant check for cross-cultural placements (when relevant)
  4. Legal check for borderline cases

Decisions are communicated to artists with:
